Chapter 44
The hallways were the widest Kyle Faith has ever seen in her entire life. She didn't imagine that they could ever be filled with children. She was wrong once again, as always.
Despite the huge building, hallways, and passages, everywhere was completely packed, filled with students, crammed, bumping each other shoulder to shoulder. There must've been thousands of kids in this school, in this hall to be specific.
All these kids stretch as far and as long as the hall, forcing their way and rushing as if they were trying to catch a late-night bus. Seas of new faces stretch endlessly. The noise in the hall was worse than the one she'd endured outside, bouncing off the wall, condensing, and echoing all around her. It was like they were intentionally shouting in her ear. It was affecting her badly.
