Richard’s POV
“You knew he was coming?” Ace questioned.
“No, I knew he was here.”
“What does that even mean?”
“He only came in just twenty minutes after I had arrived, so I had no idea he was coming!”
I gulped down more than a glass of wine, which I almost choked on.
He finally reached our reservation spot; everyone could sense that the atmosphere was tense.
“Well, if it’s not my two lovely CEOs,” my father’s crooked voice made my ear tingle at his words.
Ace kept his face straight, shoulders calm, but his appetite was definitely gone.
I just sat there in an anger I can’t describe, not to mention the fear I had—my anxieties were developed because of him.
“What do you want?” Ace asked with his jaw clenched, and if I had to put a pencil between his teeth, the way they were clenched, the pencil would be shattered and probably curse me out for the unnecessary sacrifice.
