Damien’s POV
I started packing my bags before it was 8:00 a.m. What I had decided to do was find the answer, and the only place I could find it was in New York.
The last time I walked to Anita, I had a nudge and the motivation to start finding answers—not only on Anita but on my mom’s case.
“Off to somewhere?” Lancelot strode in with his bare chest covered by a slim singlet.
In this winter where I’m almost freezing, it’s four days till Christmas, and I wasn’t sure if Christmas was going to be the same.
“Yes, off to New York. I need to see my dad.”
“Mr. King himself—and you think that’s a good idea?”
What else would I do? I wasn’t just going to sit around and do nothing.
