Chapter 58

Anita’s POV

I instantly remembered the gift, and now it just remained how I would present it to them. I had made sure to keep it earlier before they arrived so they wouldn’t be distracted by it.

But I had to show them.

I ran to where I kept it in my wardrobe and started to pull a few of the packages out. As I was pulling them out, a little card-like note felt on the floor, and I was confused if it was either a receipt or just an envelope.

I opened the card, and to my greatest surprise, it was an invitation card to Damien’s father’s birthday. He must have left this in hopes that I was going to see it. .

I smiled at the thought of that, but when I realized I was starting to gush over stupid things, I pulled myself together.

Was I going to that party?
