Anita’s POV

Why can’t I sleep since he left? What was it about him that kept me thinking?

My hands hadn’t had any rest since he placed this enchantment called a necklace.

I couldn’t sleep; his face kept popping up whenever I closed my eyes.

Something about him…

Hmm…

Something about him felt so familiar.

“Did you sleep well?” The voice of a nurse startled me while I was in my thoughts.

“Oh, uhm, no. Where is the other nurse?” I inquired.

The nurse looked at me for a bit.

“She’s off tonight but will be back tomorrow,” she revealed.

I needed an answer because my curiosity was eating me up lavishly.

“Why am I here, nurse? What really happened?”

The nurse sighed.

“You were involved in an accident, and you have been diagnosed with amnesia as the aftereffect of the accident,” she carefully explained.

Amnesia…

“As in loss of memory?” I asked to confirm.

She nodded in the positive.
