Chapter 124

Madison froze as she heard the gunshot.

“Have I been hit?” Madison questioned herself. She took a very quick examination at her body and found out she wasn’t hit.

“If you dare move, I won’t fire on the ground again.” Henry said with a daring glare in his eyes.

“You think I’m joking?” Henry said as Madison was still attempting to move.

“If you think I’m only kidding with you then move!”

Henry’s threat didn’t have any profound effect on Madison. Why?

Madison was lodging in between two trees. Even Henry knew it would be impossible to get her from the angle he was standing. He was just trying to make empty threats, hoping Madison would be naive and give herself up.
