Nathan kept fidgeting, he was unsure of Jeromy’s motives.

“Do you think if I wanted to harm you I’d come directly?” Jeromy asked an undecided Nathan.

Nathan would not think that because of what had happened to them, him and Madison in the last few months.

“You can just tell me what is in there,” Nathan said.

“Why then did you agree to come with me if you were going to distrust me in the end?” Jeromy asked Nathan, smiling.

“Is anything funny?” Nathan asked.

“No.”

“Why then are you smiling?” Nathan asked.

“It’s just so funny to know that you too experience some type of fear. I mean the mighty and rude Nathan Westbrook being afraid?” Jeromy did more than smile this time, he laughed.

“I was rude, Madison changed that.” Nathan corrected him.

“Besides I feel like you are trying to use emotional blackmail on me by telling me that,” Nathan added.

“Madison is there to tell the authorities if I’m ever to hurt you,” Jeromy said.
