What did Vera tell Nathan they made him react that way?

Nathan was preparing to leave and he kids were in the house. He didn’t want to leave them alone to themselves especially when Max was not feeling too well.

“Mark! Max!” Nathan called them out from their room, thereby interrupting their play time.

“Yes Dad,” they said in unison as they rushed out of their room.

“We are leaving now,” Nathan said to them. “Go keep that in your room,” Nathan added.

Nathan asked them to return their toys to the room and come with him. He was going with them to the coffee shop but he wasn’t going to let them out of the car.

“Okay Dad,” Mark and Max said again in unison. They ran into their room and in less than a minute, they were back.

“Let’s go,” Nathan allowed them to lead the way to the car.
