Lila was so lost in her thoughts behind the coffee shop table that she could not stop smiling. It was rather embarrassing, but she didn’t know.

“Is there something wrong with you?” Jonathan questioned her from behind but she did not even hear him.

“Lila?” But she was too delved into her thoughts that his second attempt to call her attention was futile still.

“Am I truly in love?” Lila asked herself without knowing she was. It was very audible to the hearing of Jonathan.

“Are you okay, Lila?” No, she could not hear him this time, even after his third attempt.

He snapped his fingers in her face. “Lila!” And she startled herself into her consciousness.

“When did you get here?” she asked, startled, or we should say confused.

“What’s going on with you?” Jonathan asked her while still observing her. He touched her neck and her forehead to confirm if she really was okay. She said so.
