Chapter 48
“Why are we alone here?” Sia’s voice echoed inside the empty bungalow located on the very outskirts of New York City.
“Have a little patience, Sia. Our guest will soon arrive,” a familiar voice also resounded in the building with enough vacuum—Henry Westbrook’s voice.
“Our guest will soon arrive?” Sia repeated his question but in a very irritated tone. “We have been here for a couple of hours already.”
“Maybe she was caught up in traffic, or maybe something else is delaying her, maybe.” Henry shrugged his shoulders and gave out a pack of chocolate.
“Really?” Sia asked him.
“Chocolates aid in the reduction of stress and anxiety,” he chipped a smile at her.
“So what on earth is making you feel anxious or stressed?” she asked, based on what he said about the chocolates.
Henry smiled and stood in front of her:
“This is not for me, Sia. It is for you.” He flashed her another smile.
