Chapter 11. Purpose
Rachel and Ezekiel departed after that long talk.
She waved goodbye to him at the school gates while he secured his rifle.
He walked away comfortably while Rachel got suspicious of his plans.
Not only did he talk about a simple plan, but a huge one. A tremendous, destructing one.
Rachel walked away with a heavy heart. Did she get too ahead of herself, of wanting to get out of Luther’s trapping arms, and relying on someone with iron and heavy fists? She had a lot of dreams and a past to get by. Well, the river helped her to wake up.
“I have something to tell you the next time we meet.”
Walking in the hallways while thinking of his words, Rachel minded the stitch of his intellectualization. From the way he spoke, he’s skeptical, and wouldn’t let anything get his feelings to be swayed to nothing.
