Chapter 140

Even after all these years, she still had feelings for him. She thought that her work and taking care of Kyran would take her mind off him but a single day did not pass that she didn't think about him. She wished that she was raising Kyran together with him.

Lucy came back downstairs with Kyran fully dressed and she put him down to play while she went to sit with her mother.

“You're home early today.” Mrs Richards pointed out.

“Yes, my boss gave me the rest of the day off.” She answered.

“And where's dad?”

“At a car dealership, he's looking to buy one of those vintage cars he had always wanted.” Mrs Richards rolled her eyes and Lucy giggled.

“Is there any food in the house?” 

“Your little tasmanian devil didn't give me to chance to prepare anything.” 

“Oh? Don't worry then, I'll just order for some food because even I don't have the strength to do any kind of work.” Lucy sighed heavily.
