Chapter 19. Pageant Preparation

It was their sophomore year of college when Trevor and Savannah were chosen by their respective college deans to compete in the university foundation’s annual pageant, Mister and Miss Thomasian. At this point, Savannah was not struggling as much. She remained an academic scholar and continued working part-time at Imperial IT on weekends.

Initially, neither of them wanted to join the pageant. However, upon learning about the incentives that would be given, they didn’t hesitate and accepted the offer to compete.

Since both of them were from different college programs — Savannah’s from the medical technology program and Trevor’s from the marketing program, they were paired with different partners from the same programs. Savannah was paired with a higher year, while Trevor was paired with a lower year.
