Chapter 30. A Warning
“If you’re annoyed about your first kiss being your worst kiss… then should we redo the kiss so you can have your worst and best kiss.” Trevor grabbed Savannah’s face with both hands, but she immediately pushed him away, feigning disgust while her broken heart felt like it was about to explode.
“You’re really disgusting, Trev! Ew!” Savannah shook her head, pretending to be repulsed. Inside, her heart, which had just shattered seconds ago, was still aching.
“So you’re that disgusted by me, huh?!” Trevor raised an eyebrow, repeating his earlier action. Savannah ran away from him, and they started chasing each other like children playing on the crowded beach.
After a few minutes of chasing and laughter, they decided to stop as they were both out of breath. They realized they should eat lunch, so they returned to the restaurant and continued eating with their friends.
***
The sun was setting, and the beach crowd was thinning as they prepared to go swimming.
