While the old woman with her grayish eyes uttered those words, her grip on Savannah’s arm tightened. It felt as though the young girl’s skin was being pinched. The old woman continued speaking, “Remember what I said, dear. Keep it in your mind and never forget my advice if you don’t want to regret it.”
Forcefully releasing Savannah’s hand, the old woman walked away as if nothing had happened. Savannah stood frozen for a few seconds, unable to ignore the pain from the tight grip the old woman had on her.
