Chapter 29. Miss Pretender
“Sav!” Sandra called out to Savannah, who was walking fast and struggling to keep up due to the bright sun and her sweat-soaked clothes. She was running out of breath and couldn’t walk any faster as the crowd at the beach grew larger. Realizing Savannah wouldn’t hear her anymore, Sandra decided to stop calling out and catch up with her. As they walked towards Savannah, she noticed her sitting on a bench near the beach, tears streaming down her cheeks.
“Why was he acting like that? Am I that disgusting to him?” Savannah sobbed, covering her face with her hands, trying to hide her tears from others at the beach.
After a few seconds, Sandra and Shirley reached Savannah, and without hesitation, they tightly hugged their crying best friend.
“Sav, you know those guys will probably assume things after you walked out, right?” Sandra asked as they continued to hug her.
