Chapter 216
A knock on the door startles us and Dr. Nelson opens it and walks in.
“I have excellent news, all the tests came back and they are looking good. Quincy will be discharged tomorrow.” He says cheerfully, but it looks like my parents are going to chew him raw.
.................
“What?” My father asks loudly.
“Are you hearing yourself?” My mother joins in.
“You can’t just discharge someone who almost died a day ago.” My mother points out.
And she is making a good point. My last doctor said a lot of serious things. But who am I to defy the tests of this new hospital?
This one is bigger, more equipped, and more known worldwide.
“We can’t keep someone who appears to be recovering well, and at such a fast pace.” The doctor says.
“He was convulsing.” My father says. “The last doctor told us that if he convulses again, he might die.”
Doctor Nelson sighs and walks towards two metal chairs and sits in one.
