And that’s when I hear it.

The loud, strong bark shakes my entire core.

From one bark, follows a series of other barks from the front porch of the house. There is obviously a dog chained there. And a very large one at that.

“Back to the car, back to the car!!” Lizzie literally runs past me.

“Lizzie, wait up!” I run after her carefully. I am afraid that I could prick my feet on a rock and badly injure myself.

She ignores me and runs straight to the car, she then opens it quickly and hops in. She closes the door with a small bang and I can’t help but view this whole scenario as humorous.
