Chapter 56. Suspicious Figure

Bruce followed Ethan into the mansion and met an obviously fidgety Cassidy in the living room who hopped off the couch immediately as they walked in.

“Did you find her?” she asked Ethan as she stepped towards them but he brushed past her and went up the stairs to the room, his posture stiff and gait brisk.

She turned to Bruce with a questioning gaze, “What happened in W county?”

Bruce cleared his throat as he eyed the direction which his Young Master had exited.

“It would seem, Dr Owen, that the Young Mistress has gone to Young Master Davenport in W County.”

“Gone?” She echoed, “Pardon me but I don’t think I understand what you just said… Jane loves Ethan very much so that has to be some sort of misunderstanding.”

Bruce sighed, “I wish it was but unfortunately it isn’t. Young Master Ethan found her at the Davenport mansion in W county, asleep in Young Master Davenport’s bed.”
