Chapter 61. Questions

Ivy sat on her princess bed and kept trying to call Jane over and over but the same automated voice repeated the same message over and over.

“What is going on? Where are you, Jane? I should have discouraged you from leaving,” she lamented with guilt written all over her.

She turned her attention to the door as it opened, her mum walked in and smiled at her but immediately noticed something was wrong.

“Jane, dear? Is everything alright? You don’t look cheerful today, you didn’t even hear me knock.”

“I’m sorry, mum. I’m just worried about Jane,” her head bent, staring at her phone so she didn’t notice the look on her mum’s face.

“What happened to her? Did both of you argue or something?”

“No, mum. She’s out of state.”
