Chapter 67. Robbed

Done for the day… another boring one without her, Ivy thought as she gazed at Jane’s empty seat beside hers and heaved a deep sigh.

She made her way out of the laboratory building and walked to the parking lot where she knew her driver was waiting to drive her home as usual. She paused to gaze at the myth tree in the middle of the parking lot.

It only grew flowers in February and specifically during Valentine’s week. Funny how Jane’s absence and overwhelming boredom made her notice things she probably wouldn’t have.

She decided she wouldn’t be able to bear sitting through another silent ride with her stoic driver this pleasant afternoon, she was already bored enough. Might as well take a leisurely stroll home, she had selected a casual outfit so it was meant to be.
