Chapter 68. Instructions

Ivy turns back the way she came and took a detour to her regular flower shop as she had decided to listen to the old lady.

She had questions swimming in her head but knew it was pointless asking or wondering because all the facts had been thrown in her face, though she wondered where Bruce was and why he didn’t meet up with her himself.

She walks into the store with a smile ready for the shop assistant who was always there to get the usual.

“Hi Carey, how have you…” she paused as she saw an unfamiliar face behind the counter.

“Hello Miss Lee, I am the assistant available today. Carey needed me to cover for her.”

“Is she ok? Anything serious?”

“Oh hardly, Miss Lee,” the new assistant chuckled.

“Do give me a moment please, I’ll get your usual ready for you.”
