Chapter 4
Pat
“Honk! Honk,” Mom’s car goes as it makes its way to Glenlane high’s parking lot. There’s a variety of cars here, which loudly translates to a mix of the rich and the wealthy, and that’s not so difficult to guess without even being here.
I can see several other students in the distance in their parents’ vehicles, making their way to school as they kiss their parents goodbye.
“Or is that a butler?” I say to myself, trying to figure out the difference in age between a certain girl who looked really young compared to her guardian who looked really aged.
“This is it!” I say to myself, “This is high school.”
I discovered at this point that my hands had gotten really sweaty on my way here and were now drenching the black silk shirt that I had chosen over a cream top this morning. I am really nervous.
I make my way to the door and yank it open in a bid to explore this brand-new world I was just given access to. In a way, I felt like Christopher Columb
