Chapter 7

Lysa stood outside her father’s study. There was no need to hide it anymore, and she was sure that he already knew. After the attack, the school sent a formal note that all lectures were to be suspended for an indeterminable amount of time until the students’ safety was guaranteed on the premises.

Her father wouldn’t be Alpha if he didn’t already know everything that happened. She wasn’t sure what he would be mad at – her being attacked twice a month or the fact that they had kept her powers a secret from him.

She’d spent most of the past days moping in her bedroom and occasionally responding to messages from friends. They all assured her that people didn’t remember it was her and that she should be proud that she had saved a majority of the students.

Didn’t save five of them, though, did I?

Five people were killed in the attack, and almost twenty were injured, four of them currently in the ICU.

Her university was mourning, lighting candles and
