Chapter 26

Alessa was excited while waiting for nightfall. Earlier, Kimmy brought her an enormous box. When she opened it, she saw a dress inside and when she held it up; it was a sky blue high waist-sleeves midi dress with short sleeves.

It came with black sandals that fit perfectly on her feet. Elijah seemed to know the size of her foot, so it impressed Alessa. She couldn’t believe that his choices would match hers. She turned around in front of the mirror when she saw herself. Her hair was just left loose. She put light makeup on her face. Good and somehow, she was used to putting it back then. Kimmy worked with her to find out if the makeup she was putting on was too thick or if it was fine.

“You are beautiful, Alessa! You look like a model seen on TV and on social media,” Kimmy said with admiration on her face.

Alessa was ashamed to smile. “Thank you, Kimmy.”

“Where are you and Elijah going? Do you have any ideas?” she asked while adjusting her clothes at the back.
