Maegan’s tearful face looking at them was replaced with courage now. She wiped the tears from her eyes. “Why? Is it because of her? Who is she in your life, Elijah? When did you just meet her? You just met here recently!”
Alessa wanted to join in the conversation between the two. The pity she felt earlier for this was gone. It was replaced by annoyance due to the extreme thickness of her face. ‘The audacity!’
“You know nothing, Maegan,” Elijah said.
“Yes, maybe I don’t know anything, but aren’t you and are you very unfair? You judged then and now, your mind is closed to listen to my reasons?”
Elijah looked at her while her foreheads were still wrinkled.
“I don’t know why you forgot me so quickly. I don’t know how that girl flirted with you!” she shouted, then looked at Alessa evilly.
Her eyes widened and she couldn’t believe that she was now accusing her of something that she never did and could never do.
