Chapter 79
Alyson’s POV
While we were waiting for the arrival of our food ordered by Beatrice, we were just in the living room. We both just looked at the beautiful view of the city lights. She even played an instrumental that added to the relaxing ambiance. We only had dim light there, so it felt really light.
After a while, Bea stood up and walked to the minibar counter table where there were different types of wine. I frowned when Bea poured two wine glasses and then went back to her place earlier. She handed me one.
“Shall we drink?” I would ask.
“Hmm.” She drank immediately after sitting down.
I just stared at the wine glass I was holding. “But we haven’t eaten yet. You are still tired from the operation. You might get sick,” I said. I can’t hide my concern for her.
Even though she’s not in the mood to talk to me, that’s not a reason for me to lose interest in her.
