Chapter 30. Her Pain

Mika stood in front of her small apartment window, gazing out at the city lights below. The city never slept, even when it was dark outside and the lights twinkled like stars in the night sky. Her heart ached, and tears flowed down her cheeks as she remembered what had happened earlier that day. She'd gone to the mall to get some baby supplies for her own pregnancy when she ran into Sam and Mary. It was strange to see them together after Sam had cheated on her with Mary and gotten her pregnant.
