Conrad's POV

"I like you, but I don't expect you to have a relationship with me. I know the boundaries."

"Bodhi, I don't know what I feel for you."

A half-smile appears on my lips, and I nod my head. It's more than I expected. I thought she would give me a vague response where even I wouldn't know if there's hope or not, but now I know. She doesn't feel anything for anyone, but she's also not sure about what she feels for me.

"I didn't expect you to know, you're beautiful," I whisper, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "And it's okay that you don't know, I understand. Take your time to think about it."

"I promise I'll give you an answer as soon as I can. You're my teacher, and I have mixed feelings. I need to think things through and figure out if this is what's right for me."
