Catherine’s POV
We left for the White River Pack just after breakfast. It was hard to say goodbye again, but at least everyone was now safe.
It was Colt’s idea to bring me along, and no one dared argue with that—not that my father had any other choice.
My parents’ revelation about Brian’s dream of having me as a mate created quite a stir among the wolves.
I have never seen them so angry, so jealous, so protective, and so possessive.
The triplet wolves took over, and they shifted into the living room. They followed rank and centered me between them.
My mother was horrified when she heard the cracking of bones; she didn’t expect the triplets to act that way, and she immediately left the quarters with Ellie.
Not that I was worried.
The triplets would never do anything to hurt Ellie or anyone in my family—not on purpose anyway. I have seen it in their eyes. They loved the little pup just as much as I did.
