Catherine’s POV
The girl I saved was so grateful that she had sworn her life to me. I tried to explain to her that everything was just a misunderstanding and she was free to go, but she refused. She wanted to be by my side.
“You are my savior, and I will always be in your debt for what you have done for me,” she said.
“Don’t worry about it,” I said. “I am just thankful that I was able to stop it.”
The girl flinched and shivered, and I stretched out my hand to her.
