Chapter 105. A Dress

Alice entered her hotel room with a big smile plastered on her face. Her heart was racing—a mixture of excitement and anticipation. Tonight, she would be having dinner with her boss, Harry, and the thought alone was enough to make her feel like floating.

“Finally, the night I’ve been waiting for,” she muttered to herself as she placed her bag on the bed.

Her eyes then fell on a white box with a red band lying on the table. Alice approached the box curiously. Her hands trembled slightly as she undid the ribbon and lifted the lid of the box.

“Oh, my God…” she murmured in amazement when she saw the contents of the box.

Inside lay a beautiful long white dress. The material looked soft and shiny under the light of the room lamp. Alice lifted the dress carefully, as if it were the most precious thing in the world.
