Ian's POV

As soon as Bea exits the room, I could hear the muffled sound of a ringing phone echoing from the nightstand. In an instant, my instincts kick in, driving me towards the source of the sound. As I approach the nightstand, my eyes are drawn to the screen, where an unfamiliar, unregistered number stares back at me.

Lingering for a moment, I find myself considering the possible caller's identity. Could this be an urgent, significant call? My curiosity swells, forcing me to swipe my finger across the screen, ultimately answering the call. Almost immediately, a voice pierces through the line, uttering the words, "Where are you?”

My mind whirls with questions, as the voice sounds strangely familiar, though I can't quite put my finger on it. "I am in your house right now, young woman," she added.
