Bonita approached Adam, concerned about his state of mind. She sensed that he was deeply troubled and wanted to offer some comfort.

“Adam, are you okay?” she asked gently, touching his shoulder.

Adam looked at Bonita, trying to put on a reassuring smile, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “I’m fine, Bonita. Just worried about Kaytly.”

Bonita nodded, understanding his concern. “I’m sure she’ll be okay. The doctors here are competent. And you were quick to bring her in for treatment.”

Adam appreciated Bonita’s attempt to comfort him. “Thank you, Bonita. I’m glad you’re here with us. You’ve been a great support.”

Bonita blushed slightly, feeling a sense of warmth in her heart. “It’s my pleasure to be here for both of you. You and Kaytly are like family to me.”
