Chapter 8

Evelyn heard the faint murmur of people talking inside as she walked towards the room. To say she was nervous would be an understatement. Evelyn was shaking as she took each step. The people inside that room were going to decide her destiny.

"You can go in, Luna," the omega maid said as she opened the huge wooden door. Evelyn gulped as the voices were now clear and understandable, but they seemed to be talking about something that Evelyn couldn't quite understand.

She thanked the maid before taking a deep breath and stepping into the room. The voices died down as soon as she entered.

Evelyn looked to her left to see that everyone in the room was staring at her. The omega held her breath, not knowing what to do as there was an awkward silence in the room.
