Chapter 37

Star’s POV

“We are leaving,” Master said when he came into the room in the morning. He only spared me a glance before he strolled to the box where he came out from on the first night I showed up here.

It hasn’t been long since that incident, but it seemed to me like it has been long since then.

“Where are we going to?” I rose from the bed and slowly wrapped the sheet around me.

“To my castle. I’ve been away from it for too long.” He touched the box. “It’s time I return to my castle and my duty as the lord.”

“Are you taking me to your palace?” I asked as I tried to hide the smile that threatened to break out.

It is unclear to me why I was delighted that he was taking me with him.

“Yes.” He turned to look at me. “You don’t need to act ecstatic about it.”

“Why?”

“The palace isn’t a place for pets.”
