Star’s POV

“Pathetic.”

The image of my master, as he said those words, flashed through my mind.

It made me know how pathetic my master will think I am if I allow this man to treat me this way.

I’m a warrior princess who was trained for battle. I can’t be easily defeated by this vampire.

Even if I’m no match for his strength, it doesn’t mean I have to give up without at least trying to fight my way out of this.

With all the strength I can muster, I kneed him in the groin.

“Fuck!” he growled as he let me go.

I fell on the floor with a thud as I wrapped my hand around my neck. I coughed a bit as I tried to rise.

The vampire got to my side before I could blink. “How dare you fight against me.” He attempted to latch his hand around my neck, but I kicked him.

I know I’m no match for the vampire should he endeavor to use his powers on me. But that doesn’t mean I’m ready to bow my head to him.
