It was the day after, and yet I could still feel his warmth and scent lingering on my skin. I had been reluctant to take a shower, because I didn't want his scent to fade from me. 

Yesterday, even though I didn't go home and slept in the office, I had a good night's rest for the first time in a while. 

But despite that, I couldn't relax. The company was still in jeopardy. Papa said he would handle things. Kade also said the same, but I just couldn't sit back.

“Gianna, how many rats did you catch in the meeting yesterday?” I asked as I looked at a file on my laptop, tapping my index finger on the armrest of my chair. 

“Four,” she answered from her station, typing away on her laptop.
