Chapter 33. Like a Proud Big Brother

“Tell me how you’ve been,” Axel said as we walked to his car and he held the door open for me. “I want to hear every detail.”
And every detail was what I told him. I held nothing back.
The drive to the library passed in a blur, and not once did Axel interrupt me. He just let me talk.
“Whew,” he said when I was finally done, and that was when I noticed the car had stopped. I looked out the window to see that we were parked in front of the library. “What an eventful week you’ve had.”
I nodded slowly. “Yeah. It was indeed.”
“Go inside. I’ll find somewhere to park and come find you.”
I looked over at him. “You’re staying with me?”
He nodded. “Yeah.”
“I spend a lot of time in the library.”
“Uh-huh.”
“Won’t you get bored?”
“It’s a library, sweetheart. I’m sure I’ll find something to entertain myself with. And you’re there. I can always just stare at you if I do get bored.”
