“I am fine, Asher,” I heartily chuckled and declined his sweet offer to rest my head on his shoulder or let him comfort him. But deep inside the chords of my heart were touched by his gesture.

Maybe, just maybe he was different from other men. Men like Noah.

“Just know that I am here for you in any capacity you wish.” He wasn’t deterred by my refusal, the worries in his eyes stayed, the worries he harbored for me.

“I know, we should go and get these papers notarized,” I reminded him and we headed towards his car. Settling inside we set off for the Notary Public Office. The sooner I would authorize these papers the better.

It didn’t take us long to get there, and with Asher’s influence, we didn’t face any issues while getting the papers authorized.

“Where to now?” Asher asked, as I safely kept the papers safely in my pocket.

“To my pack. I know the location of the moonstone. We should get hold of it before Ruby gets her slimy hand
