Chapter 114. Falling Dragon

Eir’s POV

“Drifa!” I hissed her name through my teeth, never taking my eyes off the massive beast now stalking towards us.

From the moment I saw him over my shoulder, I started running zigzag through the trees, and the moment I thought I had managed to create some space between us, he jumped out right in front of me. Drifa stirred, and I could feel how anxious she was, but that didn’t help me because she still refused to shift or even answer me.

Crawling backward through the mossy ground, I kept my eyes on the wolf. He was genuinely massive; not even the Alpha wolves came close to him. Snarling, he stalked closer, blood still dripping down his snow-white fur. Canines bared, his jaw snapped shut, making his low growling resemble an angry cat’s sound.
