Chapter 115. Lydia and the Wolf
Eir’s POV
We crashed on the ground—yes, we! The blinding light had faded, or my eyes had grown used to it. That was when I saw it wasn’t a flashing light, no strange creature—it was a human.
However, I didn’t have enough time to see who it was. My back slammed into the green grass; nothing was soft about that collision, and before I could even catch my breath, my saving angel of light swished away. Leaving me alone, baffled, scared, and disoriented.
“Drifa! What is your problem?”
I knew my anger was misplaced; everything had just boiled up right then, but it was all directed at Drifa. My wolf, the creature that was supposed to be my other half, the missing part of my soul and all that. Despite all this, she couldn’t even help!
“You don’t even try!” I shouted to nobody because I found myself at least a couple of kilometers away from the burning chaos down in the village.
