Chapter 123

Jason

The rain said to the wind.

“You’ll push and I’ll pour.”

I woke up yet another day in Eve’s arms. I was getting used to this and I can admit that it feels good to wake up in her arms.

“Good morning.” I said to her as I kissed her forehead.

“Morning.” She mumbled.

I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked like I hadn’t slept a wink last night whereas Eve slept like a baby.

It rained heavily the night before so it was hard to say one wouldn’t fall asleep while it rained.

But I hadn’t slept a wink. After my encounter with Alice yesterday, I had a nightmare and that scared me to death.

I dreamt that I lost Eve and so when I woke up, I was glad to see her sleeping soundly beside me and I watched her all night long so that she wouldn’t slip away without me knowing.

“If you keep staring at me, you’ll bore a hole in my skin.” Eve joked.

“Sorry.” I chuckled nervously.
