We sat in the dim room face to face and a staring competition was ongoing.

Nobody wanted to lose. I was staring at him sternly to see if he would falter but he just had a crazy look in his eyes. One I had never seen before.

“Who put you up to it?” I asked again, slamming my hands on the table that demarcated us.

He snickered, making me even angrier.

“You should focus more on the what than the why or the who.” He said after a short pause.

“You’re too focused on why I did it or who made me do it, you’re forgetting to ask the most crucial question.” He said and paused, giving me suspense.

“What did you do to deserve this?” He said laughing.

“Clinton.” I called his name, making him stop laughing.
