Before their footsteps grew closer, I heard them chatting to what had to be Ollie. When everyone came in, I was finishing my toast and had already set my cup down. While finishing the last of my toast, I grinned at my parents. My mother's face brightened up as she hurried over to me, yanking me off the sofa and smothering me in an embrace.
"Woah. Can't breathe," I said, smiling.
When I heard laughter from behind everyone else, my mother let me go. She gave me a look.
"I'm just glad you're okay," my mother said.
