Chapter 27

When I walked into my bedroom, I could hear a lot of chatter in the palace. I'm sure it was complete and utter mayhem. Last preparations for the service were probably being made in the main ballroom, followed by the enormous dinner hall for the dinner and the second ballroom for the reception. In addition, there will most likely be hundreds of people getting ready and vying for bathrooms. I'm sure that was absolute craziness. I was relieved that I wasn't down there right now.

I took off my clothing, grabbing a towel, my fluffy dressing gown, and my all-white underwear. I brushed my teeth once more before entering the shower. The warm water poured down my body. I climbed out of the shower after washing with vanilla shampoo and shower gel. I hurriedly dried myself and brushed through my wet hair.
