Chapter 12. I Would Have Liked to Chase You

Lotus’s POV

My cheeks are stinging from the cold air of the Winter Pack, but it isn’t enough to wipe the smile off my face. Louis treated me to the most beautiful morning, and I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life.

Louis insisted on carrying me back from the barn. He claimed it is because I am shivering, but I think he enjoys carrying me around. I won’t complain; there is something calming about being wrapped in his arms. It almost makes me forget about my plans to run away. With him by my side, I feel like I could be happy here. It is the other two Alphas that are a problem.

Speaking of, my good mood fades away when I see Lennox waiting for us on the front porch. His arms are crossed over his chest, but his face is amused. “Do her legs not work, like her voice?”

Louis growls, and I throw what I think is a menacing glance his way, but it only makes Lennox laugh.
