Chapter 18. The Captive
Sasha was never afraid of the dark before.
But now that the Shadow Wolves are here… ‘I’m just lucky that the silver whip didn’t do as much harm as what that bastard Alain has done to my face!’
Her thoughts might have been the one that made her retire in the corner of the prison immediately. But it was actually to hide the still-fresh wound in her face even though the shadows can choke her to death in a minute.
Good thing that Alain was not here in the dungeons. Yet.
She listened to the still-noisy surroundings: Omegas punching the walls and Slaves crying until their throats break, pleading for mercy that three days is just too much. Too much to handle, too much to endure.
“Then what are we going to do?!” one Omega shrieked with such disdain that Sasha thought was just overreacting. “We might as well die sleeping,” another said softly but with clarity. “At least we’re not punished under the sun like Cal used to do…”
