Chapter 3. Fire Alight the Night

The bitch dared land her malicious lips on his mouth.

Ansel pushed her away. With the force of it, he almost rolled down the hill if it wasn’t for the tree beside them.

Hugging the tree like a koala, something shifted at the foot of the hills. His Alpha hearing can only fathom a pair of feet that were running away. He did not even see who it was for the place was drowned in shadows, even the bright moon did no help to let him see who ran.

Perhaps some Omega who saw them kissing and was hurrying to spread the gossip.

“Moon Goddess,” Ansel looked up to the sky, praying—praying that the gossip won’t reach Sasha. At least not tonight.

Tomorrow…tomorrow he’ll talk to Sasha. He’ll speak to her about him, about them. About everything.

“How dare you—”

Klea was grinning. Ansel’s Alpha voice did nothing to send the Omega scurrying away.

“Your lips don't taste so special, Ansel. What did Sasha see in you to be head over heels?” she laughed,
