We returned to the witches' town, lowering our heads as we noticed everyone's wide-eyed stares, the marks on our bodies bearing witness to the intensity of the previous night. It was evident that we had had a wild and unforgettable experience.

“Well, that explains your passion for the Alpha,” Elara commented as she approached, teasing me with a mischievous smile. My eyes shot a sharp look in her direction.

“I'm not in love…” Before I could protest, the Alpha raised his hand, silencing me while directing his gaze towards the elder.

“I thought rudeness was something exclusive to wolves, not witches,” he growled impatiently. “We need to discuss some matters. We are about to leave.”

“It wasn't my intention,” the witch apologized with a shy smile, addressing me. “Are you leaving? Sophie hasn't completed her training yet. She needs to undergo the validation of the ancestors in the storm.”

“Validation?” I inquired, taking a step forward. “More tests?”
